Rogue wasn't always a loner, he had a party team once, partners. Palli and Bard.
Unfortunately Palli was mimicked by a Chuldur on a mission once, and Bard didn't take the loss well.
It's still the worst day of his life, though he'll only rarely call it that.
He's been working alone ever since.
